Purity

There are few greater struggles in this fallen world for men than the struggle for purity.  Only with God's grace can we be pure men, like St. Joseph.  Media and society will tell you that being impure is natural, healthy, and good.  They are wrong.  "Everyone who sins is a slave to sin," Jesus said (John 8:34).  We men know in our hearts that lusting after a woman is wrong, but after falling so often to lustful temptations, our consciences can be killed.  This is the effect that grave sin has on us.  I pull no punches here.  If you are interested in overcoming lustfulness in your life and becoming a man of purity, read on with hope, remembering that with our God, all things are possible.

My battle for purity began when I converted to Christianity and was shown that it is wrong to lust after women.  The battle began then, but was not won quickly, as old habits and patterns of thought take a long time to overcome.  Nevertheless, the Holy Spirit has turned the tide in me for purity with his awesome power.
