St. Joseph

St. Joseph is one of my favorite saints.  In Heaven, look for him to be close to Jesus and right next to the Virgin Mary.  He is the model of husbands, of purity, of single men, of workers, and the patron saint of numerous things, including the Protector of the Universal Church.  God brought devotion to St. Joseph into my life after my first Catholic courtship with a very faithful Catholic girl.  Through his powerful and loving intercession, I have been blessed with growth in purity and appreciation for the sacrament of Marriage, as well as help in my work as a computer programmer.  St. Joseph is the foster father of Jesus Christ and therefore the Guardian of the Redeemer (Redemptoris Custos).  He is the head of the Holy Family, the terror of demons, and has been called "a gift to the world" by Jesus Christ (in private revelation).
