Juggling

Juggling has been an off-and-on interest of mine for most of my life.  In 3rd grade I taught myself how to juggle with two tennis balls and a racquetball on my backporch.  In middle school I discovered Juggling for the Complete Klutz, which I read diligently for years.  In high school, I made attempts at juggling five balls but didn't do real well.  Later on in college, I managed to hit about 15 catches or so with five balls.  Finally, after graduating college and beginning work as a computer programmer, I was able to "run" five balls, doing over 200 catches, and begin doing the seven ball cascade.

My description of why numbers juggling is hard for me.

Check out this poorly done video of me doing the five ball cascade that my roommate took right after he got his digital video camera.  Turn up the sound on your computer and listen to U2 in the background (note to Bono: don't sue me, c'mon, you can barely hear the music).

Watch for more videos in the future, perhaps even with good lighting!  In the meantime, Luke Burrage has an awesome juggling video site.

As a teaser for what's to come here, check out this list of people better than me at juggling:
