Fixing My Dented and Scratched Door, Phase 1

I posted a few days back about the $1,000 estimate given to me on my car door which I scratched up and dented against a cement wall:

My dented and scratched Honda Civic

Functionally, the door works fine, so paying $1,000 to have someone fix it doesn’t seem like a good use of money to me. I noticed that the scratched area has rust spots forming, which is bad, so I need to fix that, too. I found this site that describes how to fix this type of problem, so today I went to AutoZone and bought almost all the materials I needed in order to fix it myself.

Before I begin, I am going to take the car to a paintless dent-repair shop, and hopefully pay less than $100 to have them pop out the big dent, then next weekend I will try to fix it! I am going to take pictures of the car as I work on it, so you can see how it goes. May St. Joseph continue to pray for me!
