This is Devin posting on the G’s Macintosh. I just remembered that the parish newsletters are being passed out tomorrow after Sunday Masses at St. Louis, and so many people will be reading the adoration article I wrote, with the invitation to sign up for an hour.
So, I just had a great idea–to make a promise to God.
I promise you, Lord, to pray one Rosary for every person whom you inspire to sign up for adoration.
God knows how much I struggle with praying the Rosary, so I hope he will receive my desire to make this small sacrifice and make it a big one by inspiring HUNDREDS to sign up!

Devman – not sure if you’ll catch this response, since it’s a bit down your list of recent articles, but I figured i’d try. Truth is what caught my eye was your comment on the difficulty of saying the rosary…especially with any consistency and discipline. Anyhow, same goes for me and a lot of men. Odd thing is, I recall back about 4-5 years ago…when I was saying the rosary 3 times a day (didn’t last long)…and it overcame me and I absolutely loved it. Perhaps it’s not a consolation that should be sought out…but it was truly wonderful and I have little doubt it would happen again…not to mention the other countless benefits. Well, i believe i will try once again and see what happens. Rosary in the morning and afternoon. If there’s time for more, will do more. Up to the challenge? 1 week, minimum 2 rosaries a day, but the more the merrier. It’ll be like a retreat week. Let me know what ye thinks….
Hi Quiqster,
Â
That’s big stuff! 3 Rosaries per day, or even 2. I prayed one today after Mass, and that was a big deal for me. Still, I DO like a challenge, especially a spiritual one. I will consider it for one week and respond within that time whether I will take up your challenge.
Â
I appreciate your challenging me to do something like this.
Well, Quigster, I have not been praying the Rosary multiple times per day, but I have been praying it almost every weekday after Mass, so for now, that is what I can manage.
