Â
We have one recurring problem in adoration–not the most important one–but an annoying one nonetheless: People continually take the books that we, the adoration team, buy and make avaiable to the adorers for reading in adoration.
Â
We have bought many, many books, clearly marked them as being “St. Louis property, please do not remove”, and yet, for unknown reasons, some people take the books home and never return them!
In my heart, I say a prayer for these people and tell our Lord that the adoration team retroactively gives these books to the people who have taken them, so that there is no question of stealing in the matter.
Â
I have bought three books which have been a blessing from God to me over the past four years and plan to put them out on the adoration table. These books are so precious to me that I have given them to many loved ones, and all three of them were originally given to me by others. May the blessings of God multiply!
Â
I have clearly marked each of them on the front and back, in English and in Spanish, directing that these books should NOT be removed from adoration. Probably all three will disappear eventually, as most of our other ones have, so the engineer in me is excited to do a study and see how long before each one is carried away. I happily give these books to whoever, for whatever reason, takes them home and pray our Lord will bless their hearts!

My predictions:
Â
My Daily Bread: 4 weeks
The Life of St. Joseph: 6 weeks
Through the Eyes of Jesus: 3 weeks
Â
Ah, science and adoration of Jesus! An interesting and blessed combination.
