My Russian friend named Alex at work showed me today how beautiful Siberia can be. I always pictured it as a frigid and icy wasteland, but it turns out that much of it is green with grass and forests and villages!
 
The only impressions I had with it were from “Crime and Punishment” and Father Walter Ciszek’s horrible ordeals in “He Leadeth Me” (which I highly recommend, by the way). Blessed be God in His beautiful world.
