Happy Easter!
i have really enjoyed your site (found it via catholicsingles/avemaria.com.
i just wanted to add a great movie called Love Comes Softly. This film is by faith and values media and is directed by michael landon jr. it starts katherine heigl (of gray's anatomy fame) and is very romantic, thoughtful, and entertaining. it has a wonderful message about the love of God and marriage. i would highly recommend it. there is a wonderful sequel called Love's Enduring Promise, which is also lovely. take care, Kate

And, with regard to Dumb and Dumber, I have to admit that quotes from that movie make their way into our home more often than they ought. :) It's so quoteable! National Lampoons, too. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

And, I have to admit that I'm much more the movie snob than Devin. Though, he HAS introduced me to the sheer artistry that is Karate Kid. ("Can no defense." Ooh!) :)

To be honest, I don't really enjoy watching movies at all because I can think of 10 other things that I should be doing while I sit on the couch for 90 minutes. I think that's probably why I prefer movies that are edifying and beautiful, so at least that way I'm spending those 90 minutes in a more worthwhile way. I know, I'm a snob. :)

Well, we haven't been strict about it--Katie appreciates Karate Kid (both I and II) which are part of my collection ("called Crane technique--does it work?--if done right, no CAN DEFENSE!").

I also have a Star Wars movie, Labyrinth (with David Bowie!), and other not-very-spiritual ones. However, I will admit that when Katie and I got married and I moved from Gerardo's house to our new home, I left Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme with Gerardo, knowing that it would not be one Katie and I would ever watch!

Interesting. I guess Bateson family staples like National Lampoon's, Dumb and Dumber, and Pink Panther are out the window. :)
