Holy Saturday and Bees!

Blessed Holy Saturday to you!

Katie and I went to St. William’s for Holy Thursday Mass, which was beautiful, and then to the Maronite parish yesterday for the “Signing of the Chalice”, which includes a Communion service.

Today, we drive 2 hours to Navasota, Texas, to get our bees!

But the weather is horrible!  It is about 40 degrees and rainy, which is borderline weather for putting the bees into the hive, so I will “make a runtime decision” when we get home as to whether we hive the package of bees today or wait until tomorrow.

If we have to wait until tomorrow, that means we will keep the bees in our house–sweet!  I will feed them sugar water by spraying it onto them (this is all the standard bee-stuff that I have read about).  We plan to take lots of pictures.
