Oh, yes, they’ve arrived. All 10,000 of them, give or take 100. The installation this afternoon was remarkably easy, what with the bees feeling extremely docile, what with the temperature hovering around freezing in Austin today. Poor little bees.
It’s amazing how very maternal I feel with the bees. Goodness, if Our Lord is not choosing to bless us with the gift of a child, I suppose a few thousand insects help fill the void.
Wow, I am so in need of counseling.

Devin did a great job installing the package, having prepared through many hours of study; it’s a good thing I’m married to such a responsible man because I probably would have bought a few bees and simply put them in a wooden box, without ever reading one bee book.
We felt like Holy Saturday is the perfect day to install a hive of bees. As the whole world holds its breath, waiting for Our Lord, the little bees, too, begin a new life. All of creation is glorified through Our Lord’s sacrifice, such that, now, these creatures become our little sisters, busily glorifying God through their work.Â
