My friend Nathan came over two more times last week and helped me build me and Katie’s chicken coop:
We drilled a hole on the side that will hold the chicken house, and the wheels can be put on to roll the coop around and then taken off to make sure the coop stays flat on the ground:
The chickens roost at night and go potty, so this chicken wire underneath the roosting area allows their poop to drop to the ground:
We made the house of plywood and cut a hole in the front for the chickens to go in and out (ramp to be added soon):
To get the eggs(es) from the chickens, we hinged the roof on the nesting box side so we can lift the whole roof up to get at them:

It’s beautiful!
I still think it needs a few flying buttresses on the arches.
And a couple gargoyles.
