122 eggs, about $2 per egg.
Lobelia and Gertrude did not mourn long at all for Eunice. They have each been laying an egg a day for many weeks now!
The bad news is, they got into the garden once by squeezing through the gate, and I found them in it, digging up our rows and taking dirt baths with chicken glee.
I threw them out, but now one has figured out that she can jump and flap her wings pretty high, enough to make it over the 2.5 foot fence. I clapped my hands at her and then tossed her out, which scared her a bit, so hopefully she won’t go in again.
