Adoption Woes Continue

International adoptions, especially from Guatemala and Vietnam, are under scrutiny for horrible practices where people take others’ babies and put them up for adoption (to make money, I assume).

Surely there must be a easier, better way to make adoption possible?

Can you imagine what a difference it would make if our government promoted adoption? It totally makes sense, too–economically and so forth. We would keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in our country’s economy if women were able to adopt locally, rather than overseas.

However, people are so caught up in the pro-abortion agenda that they cease to be reasonable. Hopefully, movies like “Bella” and “Juno” will help promote the beautiful choice of adoption more.

As the mother of an internationally adopted child (Ethiopia) my heart really aches over this situation, especially since these children are still left without parents many times. We are ‘expecting’ our second child through domestic adoption and the wait is hard because even though we are open to ‘hard to place’ children there just aren’t that many children available thanks to the evils of abortion. It really is twisted that the number of couples waiting to adopt in this country is almost the exact same as the number abortions done.
