Cyclebeads, NFP, and the UNFPA

Very interesting development at the United Nations Population Fund, vetted well by Colin Mason of the Population Research Institute.

One Response to Cyclebeads, NFP, and the UNFPA

  1. Frances says:

The article writer and subsequent commentors on Catholic Exchange are pretty negative about this development, but I am not so. I think Cyclebeads are a step in the right direction – I read about them a couple years ago on a secular NFP website and instantly recognized their potential to do much good in developing countries that lack the personnel and resources for people to receive full instruction in Natural Family Planning. I shared the concept with my Protestant missionary doctor friend and she thanked me sincerely for the information because it might be useful to her in her future ministry in southeast Asia. Fallible though they are, the Cyclebeads may be a God-send to impoverished, illiterate women in wet, remote areas.
