The twins have been very interested in our bookshelves lately and often remove books and carry them to us for inspection.  I am very impressed with the boys’ selections so far.  They seem particularly drawn to Plato’s “Dialogues”, Augustine’s “City of God”, and Dostoevsky’s “Brothers Karamazov”.

There is one exception, however.  Tobias keeps bringing to me Hobbes’ “Leviathan”, which, to quote the inimitable Mrs. Bennet,”vexes me greatly.”

  2. Perhaps he and the President could start a book club; I am quite sure, if he has not already read it, that Mr. Obama would enjoy it thoroughly. Then again, he really does not need anymore ideas…

Lydia’a favorite books to bring to me? Those written by our Holy Father as an archbishop, most especially “A New Song for the Lord.” (My classics are all stored away due to lack of shelving space in this house; quite sad)

  3. that is HILARIOUS!!!

  4. Hi Devin,

I found your website/blog from Journey To Rome (Kevin Branson). I wanted to “introduce myself” instead of lurking about and reading of your miraculous converstion and other bits of your life.

I am so grateful that the Holy Spirit has opened my eyes to the fullness of the faith through HIS Church.
I am thankful for godly men like you and others who stand for the truth of Christ and HIS Church in the spirit of Charity.
May the peace of Christ be with your spirit and HIS blessings be upon you and your beautiful family,

    Teri
