And things are going really well.

Adele has continued to improve in her demeanor every day, smiling more, laughing more, playing more, being away from mama for longer periods of time, and so on. We are so thankful to our Lord and attribute it all to his grace through your prayers. Seriously.

We were a bit worried about her falling asleep because a few days ago, Katie stayed in her room for a solid hour waiting for her to drift off; this was to avoid her getting frightened if we left sooner as had happened in previous evenings. But I told Katie we had to help her know she is safe and can go to sleep, so last night we told Adele we would stay with her a short while after lights-out then leave and that she could call us if she needed us. We left, she didn’t yell or cry; a few minutes later, she asked for us; I went in and comforted her, and she went straight to sleep!

Tonight was just as smooth, so we are thrilled. Her ugly infection has cleared up via strong antibiotics, and Katie is getting a handle on how to take care of her hair, which is quite frizzy.

Here are some pictures Katie took:

We took some video of the children tonight all writing on their new chalkboard, so I will try to put that up tomorrow.

You have Sue to thank for this update, as she commented on one of my ecumenical Christianity posts with this line which made me laugh: “This is good and all. But, what about those babies?” Hahaha!
