Teresa, you are so right. God's design for pregnant women is so beautiful because, at this point, I cannot wait to meet my son. All I can think about is holding him in my arms and seeing his face and counting his fingers and toes; I'm not feeling trepidation for the labor and delivery, just longing to see him. And, to be honest, I am actually feeling excitement for the labor/delivery, too, in the sense that I will enter this mystery that is such a right of passage for motherhood. I know that i will never be the same.

And, Courtney, tell me the secrets. I don't know that I'll do much because I don't want to rush Edmund if he's not ready, but I do hope he's ready soon.

Well, you're in uncharted waters as far as Amy and I are concerned. Our daughter Eleanor was _not_ very patient and she in fact arrived at 37 1/2 weeks.

This is a practically universal experience toward the end of pregnancy. I think it's one way God nudges us to be eager, rather than reluctant, to start labor. It works beautifully.

So glad your pregnancy is going well. Will your mother (or another helper) come and stay with you after Edmund's birth?

Katie,
You are entitled to a little impatience. The end of pregnancy is SO hard!!! I'm working on this issue myself. I recently thought I was unexpectedly preganant. I took 4 pregnancy tests before the time when my period was due (you know--those early detection ones!). Of course, if I had just waited a bit, all would have been answered because I got my period on the day it was due. But NO! I had to spend tons of money on tests, just because I convinced myself that I was pregnant. Geez. The Lord has made it clear to me through that experience that I really need to work on this issue. Blessings to you as you get close to delivery. Hang in there!!!

Perhaps it is not a good time to tell you how slowly these next few weeks will go by. Sorry.
