Silver Bells

It’s Christmastime, in the city…

Merry Christmas Eve!

Cold weather has blown into Austin, which we are enjoying. Today we will decorate the tree with our ornaments and listen to the last Advent songs before going to Christmas Eve vigil Mass. Then this evening is dinner with my mom.

I’m polishing up the Christmas newletter, but we will probably wait until after Edmund is born before sending it out so we can add a photo of him. Edmund has been “implying” that he wants to come out “soon,” but since we are new at this, we are not sure whether the signs mean that he will come tomorrow or in a week.

Speaking of Christmas songs, I had a hankering for some old-time music, and I found a fun and great deal on iTunes for the Rat Pack Christmas: 34 classic Christmas songs (both sacred and secular) by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, and Sammy Davis Jr. that only cost $5.99. About 10 of the songs were nothing special (and some not even Christmas ones), but most of them are a good addition to our Christmas music collection.

We hope your Advent has been blessed and that our new-born King fills your heart and family with joy and peace this Christmas!
