Wikipedia Oligarchy

I’m responding to one of Matthew Warner’s bullet points on Catholics in social media:

8. “Wikipedia has over 13 million articles…some studies show it’s more accurate than Encyclopedia Britannica.” Have Catholics been writing these articles? Contributing to them? Making sure they are correct?

I edited a wikipedia entry on sickle cell anemia explaining that this previously-incurable disease is now being cured through adult stem cells.

In less than a day my edits were reverted by someone in the wikipedia oligarchy more powerful than me. If Christians aren’t in any powerful positions in such organizations, then we can get shut out of them pretty easily, and these “encyclopedia” articles can say whatever heterodox, secular prejudice demands.
