  1. Have a good time, Devin, and lift high the Cross of Christ and what He has done for sinners!

  2. Ask the Protestant scholar why ‘they’ hold Baptism in such low esteem:

I believe I know the answer, but if wonder if the scholar will know.

    • Devin Rose says:

Steve, well one of his questions implies that differences between Lutherans and Protestants on doctrines like baptism are unimportant. You however obviously don’t think that way (nor did Luther, or Calvin, or Zwingli). :) So I’ll tell him that!

      • We feel that they are very important.

They don;’t think that God is actually doing anything in that which He commanded. We don’t believe that God is into empty religious ritual, just for kicks.

I just listened to the debate. Devin reminds me of my younger self when I debated: talk fast and take no prisoners. The goal is to win and not to understand each other.

You had a much better presentation as someone who wanted to honestly understand the other sides point of view while sharing your pov. Understanding and respect was your goal and his goal was not the same.

His view of the canon and prophecying ending at 70 a.d. was just weird. I havenever met anyone who believes that.

    • Devin Rose says:

Laurie, thanks for your comment. When you say “Devin reminds me…” do you mean me (Devin Rose), Devin Pellew (the host), or did you mean Nathanael (the Protestant interlocutor)?

  4. laurie says:

Sorry, for the name inversion. I meant, Nathanael the Protestant interlocutor.
